Checking In.

9 Aug

Hi.  This summer has been crazy.  This year, insane!

I’ve been outside more than ever before, and I haven’t been alone.

Here is a short video of me Icing Johnny before we went to float the Brazos River.  It’s a game us dudes have been playing.  This is probably the last video of David Osborne.  He’s the gentleman in the captain’s hat.  David drown later that evening.  He caught a breath of water that ended up taking his life.  He died at 21.  I’m still really sad about it, on top of that I was there to see it happen and I couldn’t find him when he went under.  I didn’t want to bum anyone out, but i wanted to show you how happy we were to be together and outside.  Even if we occasionally have to drink shitty girl beer.

Rest in peace Brother

Here are some pictures from Ian’s Birthday dinner last month.  Jess made some delicious dinner, then we all pretty much got drunk.

This is the view from Ryan Manor.  It is excellent.

Thanks to Luke I have enough Advantix to last me for a little while.

Game Plan:

17 Feb

I’ve been out of the “social spotlight” for about a month, up until this past weekend.  I don’t know why I stopped going out,  but it’s nice to take a break every now and then.  I’ve got a pretty busy week ahead of me.  Ruiz and I are moving into our shiny new Down Town Apartment next monday, so I’m slowly putting my belongings into boxes over the course of this week.

However, I do believe I will be attending this social function on Thursday:

Hopefully I’ll see you there!

Movember 2008: Success!

1 Dec

Hi Guys.  This last Saturday was our First attempt at a Movember Mo-Town Mustache Party at Rubber Gloves in Denton Texas.  We Raised almost $600 that evening, putting our grand total for the month over $1,000!!!!  This is sooo exciting for me and everyone that was involved should be as thrilled as I am.  We’ve done a really good thing and we’ve managed to have a good time, like we usually do, along the way.

If you missed the festivities on Saturday, I kinda feel bad for you.  Performances by Bangs, Yeah Def, SHVRZ and It’s What We Get kept us entertained all night.

The actual Pageant itself was quite entertaining.  Some really good looking (and some not as good looking,) Mo’s graced the stage but not all could be crowned “Mo Of The Year.”  The judges whittled down the competitors down until Three remained:  Ian Bangs, Weston “Fingers” Finney and Dr. Colin Jardine.

After awardine Ian Bangs witn the 3rd place Movember Goblet/Coffee Mug it was down to 2 last staches.  Unbeknownst to a room full of captivated mustache spectators they were about to witness a Tie Breaker for the Titans!  Yes!  Dr. Colin Jardine and Weston “Fingers” Finney tied for first but if there’s one thing we like more than winners, it’s losers, and someone had to lose!  The tie breaker lying before our 2 last contestants would change their night FOREVER!  The first contestant to chug an entire pint of Miller Light would be named the Firts Anual Rubber Gloves Movember Man of the Year!

Colin ended up beating the pants off Weston, but both were rewarded for their efforts and their dedication this month in raising awareness and profits for mens health.

I personally could not have made this event happen without the help of so many people.  Our sponsors: Centre, Matrimoney Clothing, Luke Lanter, Gordon and the Whale, Movember and the Prostate Cancer Foundation, we thank you so much for contributing your time, products and help.

Stephie Ya Know did an amazing job in the photobooth!  Her pictures are posted here!

Adam also got some really great shots that you can see here!

If you still fell like donating to the Prostate Cancer Foundation, or know someone that might be interested then please follow this link Here.  We can continue to recieve donations until December 9th.  We’ll Take any amount you feel like donating.

Thank you again so much to everyone that contributed to this cause.  This means more to me than I can express and I can’t wait till next year!  Thank you again.

5 Nov

I’m soooo excited about this month!  The Election is over, Thanksgiving and it’s MOVEMBER.  Movember is an annual month-long event involving the growing of moustaches during the month of November. The event has been claimed to have been invented in 1999 by group of Australian men from Adelaide.

Since 2004, the Movember Foundation charity has run Movember events to raise awareness and funds for men’s health issues, such as prostate cancer and depression in Australia and New Zealand. In 2007, events were launched in Canada, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

We will be hosting a Moustache Pageant on November 29th at Rubber Gloves in Denton.  (More details to come.)

Shooting At Local Walmart …

17 Oct

Tuesday’s are slowly becoming one of my favorite days of the week. Last Tuesday Johnny, Layla, Ruiz and I decided we needed some pizza and a BB Gun. God Damnit I love Walmart.

(I brought 2 cameras with me on our adventure. My Konica and my Minolta advanitx. I labeled the photos respectively.)

Pizza was a priority.
